Welcome to beautiful Sapphire Valley - a full four season resort located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, 50 miles southwest of Asheville, NC. At 3200 feet elevation, summers are cool and winters are mild. Activities abound in this campus-like setting, rain or shine! When staying in one of our properties, guests have full access to all Sapphire Valley amenities that include the 500 acre Fairfield Lake (no fishing license required!), the Community Center, a Recreation Center, two golf courses, tennis center, hiking trails, and ski slope. Canoes, paddle boats, and fishing supplies can be rented at the lake. A gift shop, nature center, book exchange and library, board games and computer access can be found at the community center. Activities and area excursions can be booked there also, along with ski and snow board rentals, and a full service restaurant. Massages, facials, new fitness center, sauna and steam room, hot tub, 2 outdoor pools and indoor pool are available at the recreation center, along with movie rentals, ping pong and pool tables, large game room and 18 hole miniature golf. On-site gem mining, horseshoes, basketball, running track, and the playground are other enjoyable favorites in Sapphire Valley. Area amenities include several unique shops, fabulous restaurants, beautiful waterfalls, horseback riding, and river rafting. You can stay in anything from a one or two bedroom efficiency to a spacious five bedroom mountain lodge!
